Learn more. About the Author Clemens Bartollas received his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. He is Professor of Sociology at the University of Northern Iowa where he has taught criminology for thirty-five years and has developed a criminology major. He has written over 50 texts, biographies, and monograph including many articles. He is currently involved in researching and writing about adult gangs in Chicago.
